Palumbo Family Vineyards and Winery is dedicated to small lot, hand crafted wines from varieties that are grown on the property. The 12 acres surrounding the tasting room and adjoining winery are planted to 5 acres Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 acres Merlot, 2 acres Cabernet Franc and 1 acre Sangiovese. I only produce what I grow and that means Red Wine! Small scale production and control of the vineyards translates into wines with depth and character. I know what goes into every grape, crush the wine myself and pour my soul into every sip. Live Well!
2006 Viognier “Dorothy Alice Vineyard” $18

A classic dry white wine made famous in the sun-drenched hills of Southern France. Perfect as a starting point for a summer BBQ or light lunch on the patio. This is the second release of our only white wine we produce.

Dry. Dry. Dry. Don’t be fooled by the color of this wine. It is a serious wine for serious wine drinkers. Following the trend of top wine producers in California and centuries of wine production in the Rhone Valley, this wine was made in the traditional style blending Syrah and Viognier to make a truly refreshing and food friendly wine great for summer poolside sipping and dinning. Very limited and not available every year!

A great example of how good Merlot can be. Big powerful fruit and complex flavors make this wine one to savor with your favorite hearty meals. This is not your “run of the mill” light bodied sipping wine.
2005 Shiraz “Australia Clone 04” $34

The cuttings for this vineyard came from Australia, thus the name “Shiraz”. This was intended to be a big and bold “new world” styled wine reminiscent of some of the best wines coming out of the Southern Hemisphere. Those that have had it will agree that we hit the mark with this one.
2005 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon “Sophia’s Vineyard” $38

Our “Sophia’s Vineyard” Cabernet comes from the vines that were planted on the day our daughter Sophia was born. Complex, fruit forward youthful wine with impressive bright tannins and a rich toasty vanilla character. A classic Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses both power and finesse.

Tre Fratelli, Italian for three brothers, is our signature blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This is probably our most popular wine because of its consistency to please year after year. This truly is a “table” wine with class and elegance.
2005 Estate Sangiovese “Due Figli” $35

Two different “Brunnello” plant clones from the Montalcino region of Italy have been planted on our property and produce this wonderfully rich and complex wine that is reminiscent of the best wines produced in the Brunnello di Montalcino region. The heritage is Italian but the wine is All American!

Classic Cabernet Franc nose and a surprising fruit forward and complex finish. We work hard in the vineyard to avoid the typical “green bell pepper” character that this grape tends to exhibit. A lot of people wait all year to snatch up the few bottles we produce each year.
